Whitecourt Wolverines forward Joey Melo has been named the 2023/24 recipient of the Dick White Trophy for AJHL Rookie of the Year.
The 2005-born forward was second amongst first-year players with 43 points and led all AJHL rookies with 22 goals.
Joey Melo also set a new Wolverines franchise record with 22 goals as a rookie.
