Canfor’s Whitecourt and Fox Creek 2023 Vegetation Management Program has been approved by Alberta Forestry and Parks. As a part of this program, application of glyphosate will take place on cut blocks located within the Canfor Forest Management Area and timber licenses in the Whitecourt, Fox Creek, Fort Assiniboine, and Edson areas. A maximum of 1500 hectares will be treated throughout these areas.
Application of herbicides is scheduled to begin on or around August 20, 2023 and completed prior to September 15, 2023.
