The Silver Birch Golf Course in Fox Creek will soon be seeing a big upgrade come their way.
On Aug. 1, 2023, Town of Fox Creek Mayor, Sheila Gilmour met with the Clubhouse Manager and Golf Course President to present a cheque for $25,000.
“It came from the Town of Fox Creek,” states Clubhouse Manager and Golf Course President, Devon Spadnyk. “We applied for a grant through our mayor and she was able to provide it for us.”
Spadnyk says the money received will be used to rebuild the entire clubhouse deck.
“The last time it was built was in 2007, so it’s been a while, and that will take up the whole $25,000,” adds Spadnyk.
Spadnyk says the project will commence at the start of October, 2023, and is expected to be completed before the end of the month.
