One person is dead following a traffic accident in Woodlands County on March 22.
Whitecourt RCMP share that, on March 22, 2022 at around 1:04 p.m., they responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 43. The collision happened approximately 1 km east of Eagle Tower Road in Woodlands County.
The RCMP’s preliminary investigation shows that a pick-up truck rear ended a semi that was parked on the side of the road.
The driver and sole occupant of the pick-up, a 39-year old male from Red Deer, was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
Whitecourt RCMP continue their investigation. No further updates are anticipated.
