Beaver Creek General Store has been an iconic feature of Whitecourt’s Downtown for 21 years, with owner Nancy Johnston at the helm for 11.
“Supporting our community has helped me understand the needs of our community, learning firsthand and understanding what is important,” Nancy says.
Beaver Creek has been primarily involved with the Whitecourt Rotary Club and the Whitecourt Cancer Fighters.
They are always ready to help fundraise and support these two charities, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as they were unable to hold the large fundraisers they regularly depend on.
Beaver Creek General Store has also made a point to help many other small charities and organizations, like local sports teams, ATV Clubs, Lemonade Day, emergency fundraisers and more!
They believe that volunteering and supporting worthwhile causes helps people gather, gain experience and teamwork, and improve communication skills!
At Beaver Creek, they are proud of their longevity and reputation as a must-see place in Whitecourt, while also providing an enjoyable shopping experience to local residents in Whitecourt and surrounding areas.
They pride themselves on stocking their shelves with as many Canadian products as possible, and their staff is always ready to greet people with a smile and friendly “hello!”
