A man from Spruce Grove is $1-million richer after winning on one of the MAXMILLION draws from LOTTO MAX.
After checking his numbers online, Jason Wegner’s November 27 LOTTO MAX ticket numbers matched up and he says he was shocked to find out he had just won $1-million.
“I saw all of the numbers matched and I couldn’t believe,” Wegner said. “I stared at the ticket for a while and checked the numbers again and again.”
“It wasn’t sinking in, so I woke my wife and asked her to check the numbers,” he laughed. “She couldn’t believe it either. It took about a week for it to finally sink in.”
Wegner had purchased his $84 multi-draw LOTTO MAX ticket at the Athabasca Value Drug Mart in Athabasca. His MAXMILLIONS-winning numbers were 3, 5, 8, 20, 23, 27, and 28.
He says he and his wife will invest some of the money and relax for a while without having to stress too much about money.
“We don’t have to stress or work so hard – it’s a good feeling.”
Wegner is Alberta’s seventh lottery millionaire since the start of 2021.
