UPDATE: Whitecourt RCMP attend motor vehicle collision, scene now cleared

Whitecourt RCMP advise the scene is now clear.

Whitecourt RCMP are currently on scene at a single vehicle collision on 51 Street and Highway 43 in Whitecourt.

Mounties say traffic is being affected in all directions. Motorists are unable to access Highway 43 from 51 Street and traffic is being re-routed in the area. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.

Police say an update will be provided once the area becomes passable, and once further details on the collision become available.
